“Celebrating International Lasallian Days for Peace while touching the lives of the less fortunate families in the society.”
In line with the mission of our founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle, which emphasizes the importance of service to others, La Salle School Homa Bay organized a successful charity event on Saturday, 19th October 2024. This event was held at the Shauri Yako area in Homabay Town, and it demonstrated the commitment of our school community to supporting the underprivileged and nurturing values of love, care, and compassion in our learners.
The event was a collaborative effort, bringing together our dedicated staff, learners, and parents, all working hand in hand to make a significant impact in the lives of over 80 families in the Shauri Yako community. Donations included essential household items such as foodstuffs, clothing, and educational materials for children, all aimed at uplifting the lives of those in need.
We were privileged to have key partners who helped make this event a success. These partners include:
Homabay County Partnerships and Relations Directorate: Provided logistical support and helped facilitate the coordination of the event with local authorities.
Equity Afya: Offered free medical check-ups and health consultations to members of the community, ensuring
